Daddy's boy

I don't know how many of you out there know that Blake is a BIG daddy's boy. When Joe gets home from work or school Blake is the most excited little boy and that excitement usually lasts all night. The other night Joe came home late from school and Blake couldn't stop talking to him. I don't mean just talking but yelling his stories at him while getting all red faced because he was so excited to talk to his dad. The picture above is of Blake and Joe laying on the floor watching the UNR basketball game on tv together. Whatever Joe is doing Blake must do also. He just adores his father.
I have to say that this is a big blessing in my life. I say this because when Joe gets home, it is all about him. I usually get the evenings off because Blake just wants to be with Joe. It's GREAT! I know Blake does love me but I think dad ranks higher than me, which is A-ok with me. I sure hope all my kids feel the same way about their dad because that would mean each evening I would have off!

That is so sweet. My kids also get super excited when Daddy comes home. They want me when they are sad or needing something but when they want to have fun it is all about Dad.

I wish I had your attitude. I feel like my little guy is on the verge of mean to me in an effort to be with his father. Tonight, as soon as his daddy came home he announced that I could make dinner while he has private time with his daddy. When I said that I wanted to come to he said I was going to "ruin his time." I am in tears as I type.
