Today we officially finished our backyard. Last weekend we put rock in on the sides. Let me tell you that moving 3 cubic yards of rock from your front yard to your backyard is back breaking work. Unfortunately we didn't order enough rock and had to have some more delivered today, so we had another day of moving rock. Not fun! We also put our sod in today and it all looks great. We are happy to have our Saturdays back to us and not installing our yard.
Joe was meticulous about how the dirt was raked and how nice it needed to look. He is a bit OCD with some stuff, but it's usually the important stuff.
These are our peaches. They are looking so good. They have adopted their peach color. I check these out at least twice a day. I am so in love with them. This is one of the only things that has survived planting.
Joe spreading steer manure onto our dirt. The dirt here is extremely sandy and we needed some nutrients in the ground. It didn't smell horrible, it was supposedly de-oderized, but it didn't smell great either.
The finished product. It instantly makes our backyard much nicer looking but it also seems to have made it look smaller.
Kalli approves. Blake would NEVER have sat on grass, he contorted his body just so he wouldn't touch the grass when he this little. Kalli loved it. She was pulling handfuls up and didn't want to get off.

Your backyard looks great!! How great to have a yard for the kids to play in. Also I love Kalli's shirt, she is such a cute girl!!
Looks great! It's a lot of work but worth it. Love, love, love your lawn decoration.(Kalli that is)So cute.
So much work! We did that in Reno and here as well (here there was a yard but we did a patio and that involved a ton of gravel, dirt and bricks and moving them all over the place) -- yay for you. It's beautiful!
Your yard looks terrific!
I loved your shot of the peaches. What a treat those will be!
Looks great!
Your yard looks awesome! Moving rock in the worst! We did rock in our whole front yard, which is pretty big, and I thought the rock moving would NEVER end!! We too were a little short and need to order more to finish it, but I really don't want to move anymore of it!!!
Wow your yard looks Awesome! Congrats! You did it and now you can enjoy it! The kids can run and play now and you can eat dinner outside! Fun! You should get some fun sprinkler toys for the kids in the summer heat!
The thing that excites me the most about someday getting a house is the backyard. Braelyn is much like a golden retriever (in many ways) but especially in how they both need a lot of wide open space to RUN! Your yard looks great and I just love Kalli. She is so cute. And she has cute clothes!
